Guatemalan deputies Javier Hernandez (L) and Orlando Blanco chat before the voting for maintaining or not the immunity of Guatemalan President Jimmy Morales accused of corruption during a session of the Congress in Guatemala City on September 11, 2017. Guatemala's congress on Monday voted overwhelmingly to reject a UN-backed request to lift the immunity of President Jimmy Morales in order for him to face a corruption probe over irregular campaign financing. Only 25 lawmakers voted in favor of the motion to strip Morales of his immunity, far fewer than the 105 needed in the 158-member legislature. / AFP PHOTO / JOHAN ORDONEZ
