La Academia anunció las nominaciones para los Grammy 2018 este martes por la mañana, y tal como se esperaba, Jay-Z recibió la mayor cantidad de nominaciones, incluyendo Álbum del año, Grabación del año, Canción del año y Mejor álbum de rap, mientras que Kendrick le sigue con siete.
Bruno Mars y Childish Gambino recibieron nominaciones para álbum y disco del año, pero Ed Sheeran tuvo un desempeño peor de lo esperado, con su álbum ÷ relegado al área pop.
Aunque recibió una nominación como mejor canción country, también se puede notar la ausencia de Taylor Swift (Solo se acepta música lanzada entre el 1 de octubre de 2016 y el 30 de septiembre de 2017), lo que significa que no se considerará “Reputation” hasta los premios del 2019.
Los premios serán anunciados en el Madison Square Garden de Nueva York el 28 de enero y se emitirán en vivo por CBS. El anfitrión de la ceremonia será James Corden.
